Symmetry

WALT create a pattern with one line of symmetry .
Success criteria
Our butterfly will look the same (identcal) on both sides.
We can check by using a mirror.

First I fold the paper in the middle.

I cut half of the butterfly.

I am going to colour it  in so both sides match.

Recount Writing-The meeting.

WALT use the correct structure for Recount Writing.
The meeting. 
On Saturday Me and my koro went to the Mangamuka Marae for a meeting. My koro was in the marae for the a long time. The meeting was big.
When my koro was in the meeting I was playing with my cousin outside on the bike.
My cousin’s name was Nikau Tango.
Next we played rugby. I got 10 tries and my cousin got 10 tries. So were a tie.
Then we went home and played tiggy outside. I was in.
I chased my cousin as fast as and I got him. So he was in.
He tried to catch me but I ran away so he couldn't  catch  me.
It was a cool game.

Persuasive Writing-Brushing Teeth.

WALT use the correct structure and Language for Persuasive Writing.
Brushing Teeth.
Teeth are important to eat food every day and to be strong. 
I think we should brush our teeth every day.
Firstly I think we should brush our teeth every day 
so that our teeth get strong and healthy so that our teeth 
do not get rotten. 
Second I think we should brush our teeth every day 
so when we brush our teeth we can eat food 
everyday and every night. 
Lastly I think we should brush our teeth every day 
so that our teeth get clean and nice. 
So that’s why I think we need to brush our teeth every day.

Recount Writing - My Dad's birthday.

I am learning to add my thoughts and feelings in my writing.

On Sunday I went to my Dad birthday with my family.

I made a cake for my dad. My nana made a pudding.

When I saw my Dad I said, “Happy birthday.”

Then I took him his cake with heaps of love.

We had cookies and cream for our ice cream and pudding.

I enjoyed my day with my Dad.

My Mum.

My Mum.
My mum is the best mum ever. 
She kisses me and hugs me when I go to bed. 
She wakes me up for school.  
She helps me with my homework. 
My Mum washes my clothes and she dries them  
She loves me and I love her more. 
She is the best mother ever.
