T-Shaped Literacy term 2

 

We were learning to locate language features in a text.

I found it hard to locate the verbs and adjectives because I am still learning about them.

I really enjoyed making this slide because I like use google slide.

Matariki

 

We were learning to locate keywords and information.

I found it easy to find the information about Matariki.

I found it hard to remember to put punctuation in my work but when i was reminded I did it.

I really enjoyed making the the google drawing about Matariki.

Public vs Private Info

We have been learning about our digital foot print.
We talked about private and public information.
I learned to not share your username and last name.
I already knew to not share your address,birthday and phone number.
I liked talking about the activity that we were learning.

 

Blake.NZ.VR

 

Last term Blake NZ visited. 
We learned about marine Reserves.
We were able to use VR sets to explore the oceans.

I found it easy to learn about marine reserves because the VR sets made the learning more interesting. It made me feel like I was diving under the water.
I really enjoyed looking at the amazing sea animals and learning about marine reserves.

Clickety-Clack-Cicada

We have been learning about language features during Literacy. The way we have been doing this is by reading and understanding poems. 

Some of the features we identified in the poems are metaphors, verbs, onomatopoeia, and adjectives. 

This week we read Clickety-Clack Cicada by Jill Brasell.

I found it easy to locate the language features like Metaphors,Verbs,Onomatopoeia and adjective.     

I found it hard to understand the language features when we were reading the poem Clickety-Clack-Cicader.

I really enjoyed reading the metaphor in the poem because it make things more interesting.

Next time I need to try and use different metaphor in my own writing.

THE LOAVES

We are learning about metaphor.

A metaphor compares 2 different things

In this poem the author used metaphor to compare bread to cloud 

I found it easy to to write the verb and adjectives in this poem the verb the that I found was dampen and that means make less strong or intense.

I found it hard to do the patterns because I was doing maori patterns

I really enjoyed drawing the the maori patterns because it look so cool.

Next time I need to I will color the pattern that I drawed..

Long jump we think the frog is going to win because the frog are can jump long like the wind.

Running race we think the spider is going to win because some spider can run fast.

Swimming race we think the spider is going to win because there are some swimming spider.

Jumping we think the the butterfly is going to win because it can fly over.

Long jump we think the butterfly is going to win because it can fly

Race we think the butterfly is going to win because they are fast flyer.
