Recount Writing - Gravity

On Saturday I went to Gravity with my Aunty Nene,
my brother and sister and my cousin. 

When we got there me and Kane were jumping
on the trampoline. Next my cousin and sister came to me
and said, “What are you doing?” 

I said, “I am jumping around with Kane.” 

My sister was so happy because Reid come to play with
Netta my sister. Reid had 2 minutes. 

Father's day

I used google draw to design and create a small Father's day photo for a Key ring gift for my dad. I also wrote a poem or letter to my favourite dad in the world. 

Weekend at home

Weekend at my home. 

On the weekend, I stayed at home to do work around the house. Next I asked my papa, “Are we doing the lawn?” 

My papa said, “Yes.” So I got busy mowing the lawn. My uncle did the dog and the goat. After that my uncle finished the dog and the goat and then I finished the lawn. Next I did the dishes and my uncle  did the rooms. Finally my papa went to the dump. My uncle and me went to help him. My uncle Zadkiel pushed the rubbish off the trailer.

So my papa took me to the Warehouse.  

I felt excited because my papa gave me some money to spend. I bought a remote control car. It was fast.

   I did an investigation about the favourite motorbikes in our class. I asked the people in my class, "What is your favourite motorbike?"

Going Hunting
On Sunday I went hunting with my dad and the dogs. We were walking in the bushes and the dogs found a pig. When we were walking, the dogs were chasing after the pig. After that my dad shot the pig in the head. I was jumping up and down and giving a high five to my dad. I said to my dad, “We got a fat pig.” My dad said, “Good boy son.” I yelled, “Yay, we got a fat pig.” Then we went back home and I told my mum me and my dad got a fat pig. My mum said, “Good on you boy. You and dad and the dogs had a good day.” I had an exciting day but my dad and the dog had an even more exciting day. The most fun bit was going with my dad hunting. I gave my mum and dad a big hug when we got back and Dad said, “We are going to catch another fat pig next week. Mum is coming to hunt too.”

On Sunday me, my brother and

my sister went to my Dad’s house

with my mum to have a weekend with my dad.

First we had a Kai. We had boil up.

We had greens and meat and doughboys.

It was very yum and sweet.

Then we had a shower. 

Next we watched TV with my Dad. We watched rugby.

The game was Kiwis against Tonga. Lucky the Kiwis won.

Everybody thought it was an amazing game.

After that my dad let me on his phone and I played subway surf.

I got heaps of scores. It was cool.

Finally we did a surprise for my nana and

papa’s birthday. We got them presents and my other

papa made a cake.

I thought the presents were amazing.

They got a beautiful blanket and heaps of books.

The cake was a very yummy chocolate cake.

I felt amazed and happy.

WAL about rotational symmetry.

Pinwheels

We made pinwheels. When they spin the still have symmetry.

If you make a small pinwheel it spins faster.    

A bigger pinwheel got stuck on the handle.

It was too floppy.

If you put a fan in front of the pinwheel it spins faster.

If you use a bead for a spacer the pinwheel won’t

get stuck on the handle.

Scratch Junior

I love coding with Scratch Junior.

It is fun following the instructions on the cards

and getting your characters to move.

I like my animations.

They are cool.

Matariki Star

Whaea Annie showed us how to weave a Matariki Star.

We listened to the instructions on a video.

It was very hard. I had to listen carefully.

Science: Pulleys.

We made a pulley to get Mr Grinlings lunch from his house to

the lighthouse.

Pulleys are machines that make work easier.

How many words can I write in ten minutes?

At the start of the term I could write 31 words in ten minutes.

Now I can write 74 words.

Coding with Scratch Junior.

I have been learning to code with Scratch Jr.

I also had to follow Whaea Tania's instructions to 

screencastify my animation.

Persuasive Writing

WALT use the correct structure and language for Persuasive Writing.

Brushing teeth

Teeth are important to chew food.

So I think we should brush our teeth every day.

Firstly I think we should brush our teeth every day

so that our teeth get strong and healthy

so that our teeth do not get rotten.

By brushing our teeth we are washing away

the bacteria on our teeth then they can be healthy and strong.

Secondly  I think we should brush our teeth every day

so our teeth get clean and nice.

When you brush your teeth you get the

leftover food and the germs out of your mouth

so it’s nice and clean.

So that’s why  I think we should brush our teeth every day.

Symmetry

WALT create a pattern with one line of symmetry .
Success criteria
Our butterfly will look the same (identcal) on both sides.
We can check by using a mirror.

First I fold the paper in the middle.

I cut half of the butterfly.

I am going to colour it  in so both sides match.

Recount Writing-The meeting.

The meeting. 
On Saturday Me and my koro went to the Mangamuka Marae for a meeting. My koro was in the marae for the a long time. The meeting was big.
When my koro was in the meeting I was playing with my cousin outside on the bike.
My cousin’s name was Nikau Tango.
Next we played rugby. I got 10 tries and my cousin got 10 tries. So were a tie.
Then we went home and played tiggy outside. I was in.
I chased my cousin as fast as and I got him. So he was in.
He tried to catch me but I ran away so he couldn't  catch  me.
It was a cool game.

On Sunday I went to my Dad birthday with my family.

I made a cake for my dad. My nana made a pudding.

When I saw my Dad I said, “Happy birthday.”

Then I took him his cake with heaps of love.

We had cookies and cream for our ice cream and pudding.

I enjoyed my day with my Dad.

My mum is the best mum ever. 
She kisses me and hugs me when I go to bed. 
She wakes me up for school.

On Sunday I travelled with my mum to Whangarei

to rugby league.

We were versing Otangarei Knights.

It was a tough game to try and beat the

Otangarei Knights because they are a good team.

Their players had good skills.  

We lost our game by 11 to 10. After the game we had prizegiving to see who got the prize.

Armani and Mark got the prize because they got the tries.

I felt happy to be at rugby league.

Recount Writing-At my Dad's rugby

On Friday I went to my Dad’s  rugby at Whangarei.
My Dad played with Armani’s Dad.
They played Ohaeawai at Whangarei.
They won by 5 and the other team had 4.

We went to watch my mum playing netball at Kaitaia.

I am learning to write my ideas in order.

On Saturday morning I went  with my dad fishing at Opononi. Next we went to my cousin’s rugby game.  I saw my cousin. His name is Nikau Tango. I also saw my other cousin Toni Tango. Nikau and Toni are brother and sister. I saw my uncle Jack Tango. After that I walked  to my mum’s netball game.

Last night I was playing fortnite on my x box 1. I got 50 kills.

I was playing on my motorbike.

I did my homework last night.

Then I went to sleep.

Recount Writing-Rugby League

Rugby League. 
I am learning to add my thoughts and feelings in my writing. 
 Mrs Paraha helped me with this writing. 

On Sunday morning I travelled with Matua Matt to the 
 Whangarei Rugby fields to play rugby league. 
 I felt happy to be at the fields. When we got to the fields 
we were putting on our boots. After that we were putting on our Tautoro Titans tee-shirts. 
It was so fun to play rugby league with Matua Matt. 
We were playing Manaia. That team had good skills. 
I felt excited because we were winning. The game was cool. 
We won. 
Next we went to the Hikurangi lake. 
We went to the big cliff. I was the first one to jump off. 
 I was a little bit scared. When I jumped off I was yelling. 
It was cool to jump off the big cliff. It was enjoyed my day with Matua Matt. 
It was fun.
